Last Wednesday night, we held a meet the candidate event at the Sackville Legion. Fourteen candidates from four parties attended to engage members (Atlantica, Green, NDP, PC- in alphabetical order). That’s huge.
We requested that candidates OR their parties respond to the guiding questions we provided as a framework for discussion.
In the spirit of doing whatever we can to empower and inform our members in making the best choice for themselves and for public education, here are the responses we’ve received:
Responses from individual candidates (alphabetical order by surname):
Charlene Boyce, Green candidate, Fairview Clayton Park
Anthony Edmonds, Green candidate, Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank
Joanne Hussey, NDP candidate, Fairview Clayton Park
Responses from Political Parties (alphabetical order by party name):
Nova Scotia Liberal Party
Nova Scotia New Democratic Party
Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative Party
We hope that those of you who remain undecided heading into tomorrow’s vote will take the time to read and digest the input here.
Please make sure that you get to the polls tomorrow and make your voice heard for #BetterEd!
